Tess Southcombe – Occupational Therapist
Tess works as an Occupational Therapist in a specialist medical disability clinic providing consultation and direct service to people with complex needs. She enjoys the diverse range of clients and the support that the medical team can provide to her clinical practice. She works three days a week to balance out caring for her three small children and volunteering with DisabilitySPOT and the local school.
The changes to the disability funding over the last few years has meant that therapists need to keep up to date on sector changes, as well as continually improving clinical practice. Tess feels strongly that we all need to work together to ensure people with a disability receive the support they need and organisations like SPOT can help create a space for learning, sharing and supporting each other through these changes.
