Betty Campbell and Leanna Fox are experienced Speech Pathologists working in the disability sector with special interests in the area of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Betty currently provides whole school communication support to Fernhill School, The Ponds School and Yandelora School. Leanna works for Liberator and provides whole school communication support to William Rose School.
This presentation details feedback provided from educators, clinicians and school leadership teams about how therapists providing NDIS services in the school environment can work successfully within school environments, both mainstream and schools for specific purposes (SSP’s). Specific examples will be provided relating to the prescription and implementation of AAC in schools.
